Steel Stud Framing ForemanSands Wall Systems
We're looking for an on-site field crew leader and company representative who works on the job site daily and ensures the timely and productive completion of the project per instructions by the Estimator/Project Manager. This person will bring excellent leadership skills or potential to lead crews and ensure work is done to a high degree of excellence. This person will also have experience working with steel stud framing and will be able to proficiently read blueprints.
Supervises employees on the job site to ensure high quality workmanship and timely production.
Provides crew members with technical advice and to resolve problems.
Inspects work quality and production by inspecting work throughout the job and facilitating immediate correction of any deficiencies. Reports issues to Project Manager.
Reports to Project Manager on any problems relating to the general contractor, architect, subcontractors, employees, or material suppliers and assist in resolving the issue. Reports any change requests, subcontractor/supplier delays, inspectors’ demands, etc. to the Project Manager.
Coordinates manpower on job with Project Manager.
Responsible for making sure proper material is on site and coordinates with Project Manager.
Coordinates and assists with unloading of material and equipment at job site.
Oversees location of both rented and company owned tools and equipment on job site.
Responsible for maintenance of all equipment on site.
Follows safety program by ensuring Sands Drywall staff and subcontractors comply with applicable OSHA guidelines and Sands Drywall safety policies and procedures by monitoring job-site conditions and practices. Reports issues to Taping Superintendent.
Follows all OSHA safety guidelines.
Follows all Owner or General Contractor’s job specific rules.
Other duties as assigned.

Be proficient in reading blueprints
Be capable of leading teams
Be physically capable
Be capable of effectively communicating in english
- Active driver's license
- Experience with steel framing•3+ years
- Residential or commercial construction experience•3+ years
- Experience using framing tools•3+ years
- Blueprint Reading•3+ years
- Strong leadership abilities
- Forklift, arial lift, welding, power actuated tool, Hilti, or OSHA 10/30 certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Heavy Equipment Operation•2 - 5 years
- Project Scheduling•2 - 5 years
- Communication
