Lead onsite residential carpentry crews to deliver high-quality framing, trim, and finish carpentry on single-family residential projects. Ensure safe, on-time completion while coaching crew members and coordinating with subcontractors and project management.
Key responsibilities
Lead in morning prayer and assign tasks and plan for the day
Supervise and schedule carpentry crew (2–8 carpenters) daily.
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications; lay out work and ensure dimensional accuracy.
Perform and oversee rough framing, roof framing, sheathing, windows/door installs, exterior trim, interior finish carpentry (doors, casing, baseboards, staircases), cabinetry installation, and minor cabinetry adjustments.
Maintain quality control; inspect work for code compliance and finish standards; correct defects.
Coordinate subcontractors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), and suppliers to keep workflow and material deliveries aligned with schedule.
Train and mentor journeymen and apprentices; enforce safe work practices and company safety policies.
Track time, materials, and jobsite progress; complete daily reports and punch lists.
Identify and escalate schedule or budget issues; propose practical solutions.
Ensure jobsite cleanliness and proper care of tools and company equipment.
Qualifications
5+ years residential carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Proficient with framing, finish carpentry, stair construction, window/door installation, and common residential building methods.
Strong blueprint reading, layout, and measurement skills.
Valid driver's license; reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and stand for full shifts.
Excellent leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
